Welcome to Remote English, my name is Guy and I am the founder of Remote English and the creator of this site. The aim of Remote English is to provide language tutoring primarily for individuals or small groups who want to improve their Business English or who may want help with pronunciation or accent softening.

As a native English speaker with a neutral accent I can tutor individually for job interviews, conducting presentations or functional English as required. Additionally, I am available for group training for call centres etc.

My approach to teaching is to help unlock student's potential for them to be the best that they can be. I do not judge and offer supportive lessons at a pace suitable to the student at times that fit into their work and home commitments. Whilst I am UK based (GMT time zone), that does not limit my availability for tutoring. I am offering services to Business Professionals based anywhere in the world irrespective of time zone.

Before moving into language tutoring I spent 25 years in business mainly in the fields of Asset Management & Banking, with short pauses working in e-commerce, shipping and housing. In that time, I have worked in London, Luxembourg and Paris, sometimes employed in-house, working freelance, or working for a consultancy firm.

The majority of those years were working as a project manager and business analyst on change and transformation projects. Part of this involved training people on the new operating models and the software that I also designed. This then led to me to proof reading documents written by non-English speakers and ultimately teaching Business English to colleagues around the world.
